Log time no see you, its been a long time ago i never update my blog. Here i just want to share regarding Social Media.

Nowadays, social media having big impact to ours, You can see terrorist using Twitter to propaganda, Cigarette industries using Media social to get their



It's very interesting that Microstrategy release new version which is version 10. In version 10 we can directly import data from social media.

Here Requirement before we able to connect to Twitter from MicroStrategy :


To configure OAuth parameters for data sources integrated using Data Import

  1. On the Web home page, click Access External Data Add External Data icon. If you are on a folder page, click Create on the icon bar on the left, and then click Access External Data. The Connect to Your Data page opens.
  2. Hover your cursor over the data source to configure OAuth parameters for, and then click Set OAuth Parameters. A dialog box to configure the OAuth parameters is displayed.

     


  3. Provide the following information:
    • Callback URL: Type the MicroStrategy Web URL you used above to configure MicroStrategy Web as a remote access application in your data source. The possible URLs are:
      • For MicroStrategy Web (ASP.NET) deployments:

        https://WebServer/WebApplicationName/asp/Main.aspx?evt=3172&src=Main.aspx.3172
      • For MicroStrategy Web (JSP) deployments:

        https://WebServer:PortNumber/WebApplicationName/servlet/mstrWeb?evt=3172&src=mstrWeb.3172
    • In the example URLs above:
      • WebServer is the full domain name of your web server that is hosting MicroStrategy Web. Ensure that you use the full domain name rather than using an IP address, as using an IP address can require re-authentication when making the connection.
      • PortNumber is the port number of your web server.
      • WebApplicationName is the name of the MicroStrategy Web application. The default name for the MicroStrategy Web application is MicroStrategy.
    • Client ID: Type the Client ID acquired by configuring MicroStrategy Web as a remote access application in your data source.
    • Client Secret: Type the Client Secret acquired by configuring MicroStrategy Web as a remote access application in your data source.
      Example my MicroStrategy :
      Callback URL : https://127.0.0.1:8443/MicroStrategy/servlet/mstrWeb?evt=3172&src=mstrWeb.3172

       
  4. Click OK to save the OAuth parameter changes.
then search trending word with hashtag (#)
